Description

This is a Grade II listed gas street lamp. The lamp standard is made of cast iron and features a later Suggs Windsor lantern. The lantern is tapering and is supported by four scrolled brackets, which are attached to a tapering circular column. The column has a capital that is decorated with a foliate design in relief. The base of the lamp is baluster-shaped and also features a similar foliate design, resting on a circular plinth with a moulded top and reeded foot. The ladder rest, which has one arm missing, is pierced and elaborately moulded.
