Description

The Gate House is an early 19th-century building located on Abbey Road. It stands three storeys tall and is constructed of stucco on stone, topped with a slate roof that features wide eaves. The facade has four windows, with the first-floor windows being French style, adorned with marginal glazing bars and wrought-iron balconettes, one of which was damaged at the time of the survey. The ground floor includes three hung sash windows, also with glazing bars. There are two moulded wooden door cases, each with open pediments, carved pilasters, and radiating fanlights.
