Description
The Manor House and Manor Cottage is a house and adjoining cottage dating from the mid-18th century. The Manor House is constructed of brick with a tiled roof and features a double-depth plan under an M-shaped roof. It has a symmetrical design with two storeys and three bays. The windows are casements with glazing bars and gauged brick heads. The central bay projects and includes a Venetian window on the first floor, topped with a rubbed brick cornice. On either side of the doorway are small windows, and above the doorway is an entablature of rubbed brick interrupted by a timber doorcase, which has a glazed round head set within an open pediment supported by brackets. A chimney is located on the right-hand gable.
Adjoining the Manor House to the right, and partly forming Manor Cottage, is a lower range made of brick and timber-framing, also with a tiled roof. This section features a left-hand door with a window to its right and another window above, positioned under the eaves. To the right of a second doorway are three additional windows. The right-hand gable truss displays vertical struts between the tie-beam and collar, with V-struts above.
