Description
Church Farmhouse is a farmhouse built in the mid-18th century, with additions from the mid-19th century and alterations from the late 20th century. It is constructed of brick and features a plain tiled roof, with parapets at the gable ends and end brick stacks that have tiled offsets. The building has two storeys and is three bays wide, with the central bay projecting forward and topped with a pediment. The windows have cambered heads, with 3-light casements in the outer bays and a 2-light casement in the central first floor. There is a blind circular opening within the pediment. The central entrance features a 20th-century gabled brick porch that has a circular blind opening at the apex, is open at the front, and includes rectangular lights in the side elevations, with a half-glazed door inside. Attic lights are present in the gable ends. Inside, there is a central dog-leg staircase with moulded straight balusters and newels, and an open string with bracket detail. There is an 18th-century wing to the rear left and 19th-century additions to the rear right. The farmhouse is located to the west of the churchyard of the Church of St Michael.
