Description
Clifton Court is a farmhouse dating from the 17th century, featuring a timber frame with painted brick infill panels. It has undergone alterations and includes a large south extension built in red brick during the mid-19th century, reflecting details from the Croome Court estate. The building has plain tile roofs that are gable-ended and consists of two storeys with an attic.
The east front of the original range displays one large timber-framed gable and a smaller gable at the north end, which is obscured by a 19th-century projecting red brick granary range. The main gable features a moulded bressummer and carved console brackets supporting the attic, along with 19th-century bargeboards. The first floor has a casement window with top-lights, while the attic contains a pair of casement windows. The ground floor has been rebuilt in brick.
The south side of the main gable is cross-gabled and has been refaced in red brick, featuring windows with cambered heads. The south range, which is externally from the mid-19th century, includes a bargeboarded gable, cambered head casement windows, and a small gabled porch. Inside, there is a 18th-century fielded panel door and a mid-18th-century staircase with a moulded rail and turned balusters. The rear range is also constructed of red brick.
