Description

This is a pump house located about 10 metres north of Homme Castle Farm. It dates from the 18th century and has some modifications from the 19th century. The structure is made of coursed rubble and features a turf roof, with a square plan. There is a central door with a segmental head and remnants of a moulded cornice above, although the original roof has been lost. Inside, there is a 19th-century brick barrel vault that covers a 19th-century cast iron pump.
