Description
Sutton Court is a 17th-century farmhouse that was significantly altered in the late 18th century. The structure is a mix of rendered brick and slate, with a hipped roof, overhanging eaves, and brick stacks. The house has two storeys and three bays, featuring 18-pane sash windows with cambered heads. A flat canopy supported by pilasters with sunk panels shelters the central entrance, which has a six-panel door and a transom light with two glazing bars. A large wing extends to the rear left. Inside, the ground floor room to the right of the main range is a large space with massive stop-chamfered oak ceiling beams that divide the ceiling into 20 compartments.
