Description

Ninevah House is a mid-18th century house, altered in the late 19th century. It is constructed of finely jointed handmade brick with a plain tiled roof, featuring gable-end parapets with prominent kneelers and end stacks. The house has two storeys and an attic, with a dentilled eaves cornice. It has three bays, with quoin strips and a small gable above the central bay. The windows have gauged flat heads and are mostly 12-pane sashes. The first floor window of the right bay has been replaced by a four-pane sash. A round-arched six-pane half-dormer window is located beneath the central gable. The central entrance is sheltered by a gabled timber porch with moulded bargeboards, and inside, the doorway has a moulded architrave and a partly glazed panelled door. A lean-to outshut is present at the left side and rear of the building.
