Description

This is a large farmhouse with an attached former barn, dating from the early to mid-18th century, with alterations and extensions in 1793 and the 19th century. It is constructed of red brick with a plain tiled roof and a brick cornice decorated with modillion details. The building is arranged in an irregular "H" shape, with two gabled wings that project forward. The windows are timber sash windows with glazing bars, set in flush boxes, and are topped by rubbed brick flat arches with keystones on the right-hand side, and segmental heads on the left. A central window has a Gothic-style head, brick surround, and keystone. The main entrance features a six-panel door. A projecting single bay to the left is marked with a datestone reading 1793. A former barn or outbuilding is attached to the right. The garden front features a recessed central section with window details mirroring those of the front elevation.
