Description
Compton Hall Farmhouse is a farmhouse built in the early 18th century, with some alterations and an addition from the early 19th century. It is constructed of red brick in English garden wall bond and features a plain tile roof with brick external end stacks. The building has a T-shaped plan, with the main section oriented north-west to south-east and facing south-west, while the rear wing runs north-east to south-west. An early 19th-century extension is situated in the northern re-entrant angle between the main range and the rear wing, and it has two storeys and an attic with floor bands. The facade includes three early 19th-century sixteen-pane glazing bar sash windows with wedge-shaped pilaster lintels and two gabled attic dormers. The central entrance features a 19th-century six-panel door, with the upper two panels glazed, set within a wooden doorcase topped by a triangular hood. The interior has not been inspected.
