Description

Brindley Hall is a house built in the late 18th century, with early and late 19th-century additions. It is constructed of red brick and features a slate roof and brick stacks. The building is aligned east-west and faces south, with extensions at the rear and at the south-west angle. It stands three storeys tall and has a corbelled eaves cornice. The façade consists of three bays with a central break, and there are two-storey canted bay windows on either side, each containing three lights divided by pilasters. The ground floor has plate glass sashes, while the other floors feature glazing bar sashes. The central windows have raised architraves, and there is a bracketed sill at the first floor, along with a cornice hood at the second floor. The second floor windows on the left and right have segmental lintels and fluted keys, and there is a sill band at the first floor.

A central 19th-century semi-octagonal porch is present, flanked by plate glass sashes with gauged brick heads. The porch features a pedimented and pilastered doorcase with a six-panelled two-leaf door and a fanlight with traceried glazing bars, topped by a corbelled cornice and a statue of an eagle. To the left, there is a late 19th-century single-storey polygonal extension with a hipped roof. The east front has three storeys and four windows, all glazing bar sashes with segmental lintels and a first-floor sill band.
