Description
Bank House is a small country house dating from around 1830 to 1840. It is constructed of red brick with freestone dressings, and has a hipped slate roof with parallel ridges behind a moulded cornice and parapet, with brick end stacks.
The garden front has three bays. It features tripartite glazing bar sash windows within architraves to the outer bays, and a segmental-headed sash window in the centre. Two-storey bow windows are present on either side. A central glazed door is set beneath an overlight, within a doorcase featuring engaged Tuscan columns, and is approached by a double flight of curved steps with a balustraded parapet. The entrance front has a 1:3:1 bay arrangement; the central bay projects and is topped with a pediment. Glazing bar sash windows are set under advanced voussoirs and a keystone. A central six-panel door, with an overlight, is contained within an architrave with sidelights.
