Farmhouse. C15, altered late C16 - early C17 and C19. Timber-frame with painted brick infill and brick rebuilding to the former; plain tiled roof and off centre back stacks. Former hall with cross-passage to the left and rebuilt T-plan solar wing at the right. Hall range: single storey and attics and 2 bays with C19 and C20 casements and large dormer windows. Solar range: 2 storeys and attics, single bay to the front and side elevations and 2 bays to rear elevation which has close studding; 3- and 4-light casement windows, some with chamfered mullions; former lean-to porch in re-entrant angle and projecting brick stack to rear with linked angular chimneys. Interior: one full cruck truss, cut off at lower level, in centre of hall range and a further cruck truss is embedded in the west wall, adjoining solar range; inserted chamfered beam ceiling in hall with re-used moulded beam with fragment of recessed panelling to upper part. Chamfered beams with scrolled stops in solar wing; framed ceiling in ground floor front room.
