Description
This is a tomb located approximately 12 meters south of the east end of the Church of St Peter and St Paul, dating from the early to mid-19th century. It is constructed from sandstone and has a square plan with re-entrant corners. The tomb features a moulded base, a fluted frieze adorned with paterae, a moulded cornice, and a cap topped with a ball finial. Two sides of the tomb are fluted and include lozenge panels, while the other two sides display round panels. The inscriptions on the tomb commemorate John Lane (who died in 1830), Thomas Sevill (who died in 1850), and Joseph Lane (who died in 1812).
