Description
The garden wall, located about 10 yards west of Grafton Manor and adjacent to the chapel, dates from the late 16th century and has mid-19th century repairs. It is constructed of brick, partly handmade, resting on a sandstone base with some sandstone coping. The wall extends west for approximately 50 yards and varies in height between 10 and 15 feet. It is part of the 16th-century terraced garden layout created by John Talbot and encloses the garden on the west side of Grafton Manor and the adjoining chapel to the north.
