Description

The Dovecote is a structure dating from the late 16th century, which was remodeled in the mid-18th century and later re-erected and restored in 1985. It features a timber frame that is clad in brick and has a pyramidal tile roof. The building has a square plan and stands two storeys high, with a dentilled brick cornice. There is a shuttered window on the first floor and a low entrance on the ground floor. The framing is completely enclosed by brick and is close-studded. This dovecote was removed from Haselow Hall in Staffordshire in 1983. At the time of the survey in August 1985, reconstruction was still in progress.
