Description

Shakespeare House, located at 67 High Street, is an 18th-century building that stands three storeys tall and features four windows. The brick facade is adorned with painted stone dressings, and the windows are sash style set in narrow cased frames, with no glazing bars on the second floor. The building has rusticated stone quoins and a moulded stone cornice, topped with a parapet that has a curved ramp at each end. There is a large but unobtrusive plate glass shop front. Additionally, a portion of square timber framing visible in the entry on the right side indicates a possible 17th-century origin. This property is part of a group that includes Nos 67 to 75 (odd).
