Description
108 and 110 High Street is a 16th-century, four-storey house featuring close-set studding with rendered brick infilling. The building has twin gable heads with moulded tie-beams and 19th-century barge-boards. There is a jettied, moulded bressumer at the second floor level, supported by three projecting cross-beams and moulded console brackets. The first floor includes diagonal bracing. The ground floor was underbuilt in the early 19th century with stuccoed brickwork that is now painted black. On the left side, there is a reeded doorcase and a bow-window, while the right side likely features an early 19th-century shop front with glazing bars. The roof is covered with old tiles. Nos 104 to 112 (even) form a group.
