Description

The farmhouse dates from the late 17th century, with extensions added in the late 18th century and some mid-20th century alterations. It is timber-framed with brick infill, with painted brick extensions, and has a tile roof. The building is arranged in a T-plan, with a rear wing to the southwest and an 18th-century cross-wing addition aligned northeast/southwest. The 18th-century portion has gable-end stacks; a lateral stack on the timber-framed range of the southeast wall has been truncated. The northwest front (facing the farmyard) has two two-light casements under segmental arches; another segmentally-headed casement is located where an entrance was formerly blocked. The main entrance is now on the northeast front. The timber framing is three panels high to the first floor, and the ground floor was likely originally close-studded.
