Description

This is an 18th-century building situated on the north-west side of High Street. It comprises one building with a five-window facade constructed of red brick and painted stone dressings. The windows are sash windows set in moulded cased frames, each with a plain key block. Rusticated brickwork highlights the quoins, and a moulded stone cornice runs along the top of the building. A brick parapet with stone coping features curved ramps at each end, and three gabled dormers are visible in the roof, partially covered with old tiles. The original appearance is somewhat altered by incongruous plate glass shop fronts. A good contemporary downpipe and rainwater head, decorated with a dentilled cornice, remains. The building forms a group with numbers 25 to 35 (odd).
