Description

This is an 18th-century building situated on the south east side of High Street, comprising two commercial properties, Nos 22 and 24. It is a four-storey structure with six windows. The facade is red brick, featuring sash windows within moulded cased frames, accented by moulded stone key blocks. The elevation is divided into three bays with two storeys, incorporating Doric pilasters and an entablature. Simple pilasters rise above the entablature to the top storey, finished with moulded coping and a plain string course, all executed in painted stonework. A tiled roof is concealed behind a parapet. No. 22 has a prominent plate glass shop front, while No. 24 features a more understated, modern plate glass shop front.
