Description
A pair of houses dating to the 1890s, constructed by Edward Ould as part of a planned village for the Wightwick Manor estate. The architecture is in the Vernacular Revival style. The houses are built with timber framing on a brick base, topped with a tile roof and featuring brick stacks. They are single-storey with an attic, with a projecting central section defined by two gables. The timber framing is simple, employing large curved braces. The central section exhibits wooden, ovolo-mullioned windows with leaded glazing, comprising four lights on the ground floor and three lights on the first floor. Re-entrant porches are present, each with a hipped roof and battened doors incorporating top lights. There are three cross-axial stacks. The returns are similar in design, with a single-storey wing extending along the left return. A dormer window is located at the rear. The interior has not been inspected. The planned village was not completed.
