Description
This is a terrace of three houses located at 260, 262, and 264 Bridgnorth Road, built around 1900 by Edward Ould. The houses are designed in the Vernacular Revival style, featuring ashlar stonework, timber framing, and tile hanging, with a tiled roof and ashlar chimney stacks. The building has two storeys and a three-window range.
The left end of the terrace has a projecting gable, while the right end also features a gable. On the ground floor, there are three-light double-chamfered-mullioned windows with small-paned casements, and the end windows have label moulds with heart motifs. The first floor includes two wooden ovolo-mullioned windows and a casement window, with the central window set in a gabled half-dormer, all featuring leaded glazing.
The entrance is located in a recessed porch at the angle of the wing, supported by a round timber post, with paired entrances beneath a lean-to canopy. The doors are made of boards and equipped with strap hinges. The building has return lateral stacks and a cross-axial stack, as well as rear dormer windows. The interior has not been inspected. This terrace is part of a village that was planned for the Wightwick Manor estate but was not completed.
