Description
Netherton House is a house dated 1747, with early 19th-century alterations. It is constructed of brick and features a tiled roof with brick end stacks and coped gables. The building has two storeys and a three-window range. The segmental-headed windows include French windows on the ground floor and 16-pane horned sashes on the first floor. The central entrance is flanked by side lights and has a 20th-century Doric porch, along with an architraved six-fielded-panel door. A datestone located under the eaves is inscribed with "SR/R:W/1747," which is believed to refer to Sir Richard Wrottesley. At the rear, there is a gabled wing with an end stack. The interior features a staircase with column-on-vase balusters.
