Description

The Church of Saint Mary and Saint Bartholomew is a parish church located on High Street in Hampton in Arden. It has origins dating back to the 12th century, with the chancel and nave featuring columns from this period. The nave and chancel arch were constructed in the 13th century, while the north aisle was added in the 14th century. The south aisle and west tower were built in the 15th century, and the clerestorey was completed in the 16th century. A modern south porch and vestry have been added. The chancel underwent extensive restoration in 1879 and includes an arched piscina. Notable interior features include a brass from 1729 and a carved marble monument from 1707.
