Description

The George Fentham School, dated 1782, is a red brick building with a tiled roof. A plaque on the first floor states that the school was erected in 1782 by the charity of George Fentham and was under the care of Henry Venour, Joseph Crockett, William Osborn, and Henry Chinn, who served as trustees. The school has two storeys and features three windows with flush lattice casements. A half-gabled porch, dating to the 19th century, is present. A modern glazed door is situated on the right-hand side. The building is listed primarily for its historical interest.
