Description

Manor Cottage is a building from the later 19th century, likely designed by W E Nesfield, and is constructed in a picturesque vernacular style. This red brick house is larger than a typical cottage and features a tiled roof with tall ribbed chimneystacks. It has two storeys and is arranged in an L shape, with stone dressed casement windows and a round arched doorway. The gable end displays two carved stone shields. There is also a one-storey garage extension. Manor Cottage, along with Hampton Manor, the garden terrace walls, and steps at Hampton Manor, and No 37 (The Lodge), form a group.
