Description
No. 936 on Warwick Road is an outbuilding designed by Sir John Soane. It features a central round-arched carriageway and is constructed of red brick. The building has four pairs of Greek Doric columns supporting a painted wood entablature adorned with triglyphs. The roof is sprocketed and covered with Welsh slate, and there are pediments above pilasters on the side elevation. A tall, two-fold door is heavily studded and includes a small inset door on the right. Additionally, there are two tall dummy windows with flat arches. The design is inspired by Greek temples located at Paestum in the Gulf of Salerno.
