Description

The disused chain shop adjacent to number 14 is a 19th-century single-storey building constructed of brick, topped with a tiled roof. The main elevation features four flat-arched windows that are fitted with wooden shutters. A notable aspect of the building is its six tall chimneys, which have headers that project at angles, along with a brick cornice. The gabled ends of the structure include two barred two-light windows. Inside, the original chain makers' hearths remain intact on each side of the main workshop, and the interior showcases exposed roof beams, including a heavy tie beam.
