Description

Nos 222A and 223 on High Street are early to mid-19th century buildings constructed of red brick. They rise to four storeys and feature four sash windows, each set within moulded stone architraves. The first-storey windows are topped with segmental pediments. A sill band is present at the second storey, while a moulded stone cornice adorns the third floor. The sides of the building are accented with vermiculated quoins, and there is a moulded stone eaves cornice along the top. The building is capped with a parapet that includes a balustrade. The shop fronts have been modernized.
