Description
Mass House is a late 17th-century building that has been altered over time. It features a timber frame with brick construction and a tiled hipped roof. The house stands two storeys high with an attic and has three bays, with the central bay projecting forward. On the ground floor, there is a central late 18th-century pedimented doorway flanked by a single window on each side. A moulded brick band runs along the first floor level, which has three windows. All the windows are sash style with glazing bars, although the window on the right is false. The eaves cornice is dentilled, and there is a later central attic window. On the right-hand side, there is a modern canted bay window at ground floor level and a hipped dormer window in the roof. At the rear, there are modern additions that incorporate older materials.
