Description
17 Farquhar Road is a house dating from 1907, designed by Frederick Martin for his own residence. The building is constructed of roughcast and has a tile roof, representing an Arts and Crafts style. It is partly two storeys high and partly two storeys with an attic. The house is four bays wide, with the left and right bays advanced, the left being more prominent than the right. The second bay is also slightly advanced and contains a porch with a battered buttress and a gable. Above and behind the porch’s gable is another gable containing the staircase window. The third bay features a small canted bay window on the ground floor. All windows are casement windows with leaded lights.
