Description
The boundary and screen walls with piers for numbers 30 and 31 on George Road date from around 1830. They feature a symmetrical arrangement on either side of the main blocks, consisting of concave quadrant walls made of painted brick with stucco copings. These walls sweep out to stucco piers topped with pyramid caps, with a notably tall pier at number 31. The red brick walls, which have brick coping, extend along the street to screen the service yards. At number 30, there are two pyramid-capped stucco piers at the gateway and a terminal brick pier attached to the coach house of number 29. At number 31, there is a large central gauged brick archway leading to the yard, along with a terminal pier.
