Description

This is part of the Standard Works, a purpose-built industrial building constructed around 1850 to 1860. It is a tall, four-storey structure of painted brick with stucco bands to the upper floors and projecting eaves supported by corbel brackets. The building has a close set of six windows to the upper floors, and two windows to the ground floor. A round-headed doorway and a segmental arched entrance for the works are present, both linked by an impost block. The windows are revealed sash windows with slightly cambered arches and keystones. A panelled door is accompanied by a semi-circular fanlight, with keystones to both the arch of the door and the arch of the works entrance.
