ST MICHAEL'S ROAD 1. 5104 Handsworth B18 Church of St Michael SP 0589 SW 19/14 II 2. 1855 by W Bourne. A large sandstone church with ashlar dressings, comprising, chancel, aisles and nave, west transepts, south-west tower with spire added in 1868, all in a competent Decorated style. Prominent hillside site in well timbered former churchyard. The tower is a landmark.
