Description
Queen's College Chambers is a building dating from 1904. It was built as an ornate facade to the former Anglican college of 1843, although the original college has since been demolished from the rear. The building features a buff terracotta and brick facade over three tall storeys with three gabled bays. It has oriels arranged in tiers across the three floors of the flanking bays. Throughout, there are arched mullioned transomed windows and traceried panelling. The enriched, ogee arched entrance is topped by a canopied niche containing a statue of Queen Victoria. Modern office windows have been inserted into the segmental ground floor arcade.
