Description
This is a row of seven single-bay houses with shops, numbered 31 to 51, located on Constitution Hill in the city centre. The terrace was built in the late 1870s and is an example of High Victorian architecture, constructed primarily of brick and three storeys high. The design incorporates elements of Venetian Gothic style, resulting in a bold and somewhat unusual appearance, particularly to the upper floors. The shop fronts are slightly protruding and have pent roofs covered with lead tiles arranged in a fish scale pattern.
