Bournville B30, BOURNVILLE LANE Men's Pavilion (Bournville Club)

1902, by H Bedford Tyler. Brick; half-timbering and pebbledash in the upper storeys; tiled roof. Towards the Recreation Ground an almost symmetrical composition on a high 'podium' in which a broad arched entrance with steps left and right up to the lower viewing gallery with wooden railings and bulgy square piers supporting a tiled roof. Above this, subsidiary viewing gallery with, left, an advanced and gabled bay with 3-light transomed window and, right, a polygonal turret with conical roof with large curved iron brackets to the guttering. A central square louvred cupola on the skyline. To the road, also almost symmetrical: 3 gabled bays, the centre one advanced and with a door in it, the others projecting slightly on corbels at first floor level.
