Description

This building, located at 332-340 Moseley Road in Highgate, dates from around 1830 to 1840 and consists of two pairs of semi-detached villas and a detached villa, which have been combined into one property. The structure is two stories high and is faced with stucco. Each home features a three-bay front, with quoin pilasters flanking the center of the semi-detached units. The building has plinths and channelled ground floors that extend up to the first-floor sill courses. The roofs are low-pitched gable ends covered with slate and have flat eaves.

The ground floor windows are set in shallow camber-arched panels, with sills that extend across and channelling struck to both the arches and the rounded heads of the doorways. The windows have revealed glazing bar sashes. For Nos 332 and 334, the original ground floor windows have been replaced with tripartite corniced rectangular bay windows featuring panelled bases, dating from around 1860. Each front door has four panels and a fanlight with a looped radial glazing pattern, along with panelled reveals and soffits. There are three steps leading up to the doorways. Nos 336 to 340 have renewed steps at right angles, with original cast iron balustrades featuring an X pattern on the landing; the balustrade for No 338 has a double flight.
