Description

The churchyard wall and gate piers to the Church of St James, located on Elvetham Road in Edgbaston, date back to 1852 and are part of the design by S S Teulon. The walls are constructed of bluish red brick and rise in steps up the hillside, featuring a curved stone coping. There are four sets of gate piers made of chamfered sandstone, each topped with stepped pyramid caps. The gates are from the 20th century.
