Description
31 Bridge End is a good, probably early 17th century, two-storey house featuring heavy square timber framing that is mostly intact. The building has undergone extensive restoration, which has generally been done satisfactorily. The front elevation includes a modern timber porch and a splayed oriel bay, while the machine tile roof is fitted with four flush dormers. The lower part of the north wall and the adjoining garden wall are made of sandstone and likely date back to medieval times. The rear elevation showcases a well-constructed gabled cross wing roofed with old tiles, along with some minor alterations in modern brickwork. This property is part of a group that includes Nos 31 to 39 (odd).
