Description
This is a terrace of three houses, originally built around 1813, now functioning as shops with flats above. The buildings are numbered from right to left. The structure features pinkish-brown brick with a painted stucco facade and a Welsh slate roof.
The terrace is two storeys high, with two first-floor windows on the left side and three first-floor windows on the right. Each end has a pilaster strip, and between the windows on the right side, there are more pilasters. On the first floor, the left side has two tall 6/9 sash windows with plain reveals and a continuous sill band. The right side has 3/6 sash windows on both the first and second floors, all with plain reveals and sills on the second floor. The ground floor has projecting glazed shop fronts with glazed doors, and there is an off-centre, two-panel door with an overlight to the right. The building features a frieze and cornice, with a low parapet that is shaped to the left and includes a small pediment. There are end stacks with cornices, particularly tall on the right side.
On the left return, the ground floor has two 6-light windows, while the first floor has six similar windows, all with sills and cambered arches.
Inside the left side, there was originally a large two-storey hall, which now has a floor inserted. This area includes cast-iron pillars and three exposed king post roof timbers.
Historically, number 1 was home to The Leamington Courier in 1860. Church Walk was laid out and built around 1813. Number 2 Church Walk has now been included in this listing for the first time.
