Description

This barn is located approximately 5 metres north of the farmhouse at Hollywell Manor Farm, Rowington. It is likely of mid-17th century origin, although a spine beam bears a date of 1719, suggesting a later re-siting. The barn has a brick plinth and is constructed mainly of timber framing with brick infill, with some upper panels weatherboarded. It has an old plain-tile roof, with areas of plain tiles added in the 20th century. The structure is an 8-bay range. A double-planked door is situated to the left of centre, and a plank pedestrian door is positioned centrally. The fenestration is irregular, consisting of casements and shuttered openings. 20th-century roof lights are present on the right-hand side. The interior features a queen strut roof.
