Description

Yew Tree Cottage is a house dating from the early 17th century, with later additions and alterations, including a range added to the right around 1836 to 1899. The building is constructed of reddish-brown brick, which is painted on the front facades, and features a thatched roof on the left side and a plain-tile roof on the right, with brick stacks.

The exterior of the early range on the left is a single storey with an attic and has a single-window range. The 19th-century part to the right is two storeys high and has two first-floor windows. The entrance to the 17th-century range is located to the right of centre and features a plank door with a moulded wood frame set under an elliptical arch. To the left of the entrance is a 20th-century bay window with multi-pane casements, along with another casement window in the left extension and an additional casement to the right of the door. The gabled roof has a half-hip on the left side, and there is a single eyebrow dormer in the attic with a casement window. The range to the right includes a canted bay on the ground floor under a hipped roof, with all windows featuring multi-pane casements and a first-floor band.

On the left side, there is a tall lateral stack with a moulded band and cornice, as well as a stack located between the two ranges and a ridge stack. The interior has not been inspected.
