Description

Hillside is a house comprising a 17th-century main range and an 18th-century cross wing. The main range is set at a right angle to the lane, with the cross wing extending to the rear centre. The house has a rendered plinth, small timber framing with painted brick infill, and painted brick to the eaves. The roof is covered with old plain tiles and incorporates brick internal stacks with diagonally set flues located centrally and to the right of centre. The house is single-storied with an attic. Originally, it had a three-window range facing the lane, though the fenestration is now irregular with casement windows. A 20th-century door leads to a 20th-century porch positioned centrally, and gabled half-dormers are located to the left and right of centre. A queen-post roof truss is present in the right gable end. The rear wing is constructed of painted brick. The interior has not been inspected.
