Description
The Lock Keeper's House, located approximately 30 meters southwest of Lock 21 on the Stratford-upon-Avon Canal, is an early 19th-century building. It features a roughcast exterior on brick and has a slate hipped roof with a brick stack at the right end and a ridge stack left of center. The house is two stories high and has a three-window range. The central entrance consists of a six-panel part-glazed door framed by a wood architrave surround and a pediment. To the right of the door is a three-light wood mullion and transom window. On the first floor, there are 16-pane unhorned sash windows on both the left and right sides. The left end of the house has a two-story angled bay, which includes an angled bay window on the ground floor and a 16-pane unhorned sash window on the first floor. A brick dentil course runs along the eaves. The interior has not been inspected.
