Description
The ruins of a castle, dating from around the 14th century, are located 160 yards west of the Church of St John the Baptist in Baginton. These sandstone ashlar ruins consist of the basement of a rectangular building. A projecting stair turret is situated on the west side, and the remains are divided into five vaulted apartments, with the responds still in place. The remaining walls vary in height from 2 feet to 6 feet.
