Description
Lucy Price Cottage is a house dating from the late 16th century to early 17th century. It features a timber-framed structure with straight braces and painted brick infill panels, all set on sandstone foundations. The roof is steeply pitched and covered with plain tiles, with gabled ends. The building has an L-shaped plan, with two storeys in the section facing Church Road and two storeys plus an attic in the wing that is at right angles to it. The windows are modern casements with glazing bars. An open timber porch with a gabled roof is located on the east elevation. There is a red brick chimney stack that projects from the east gable of the section facing Church Road, along with another red brick ridge stack. Additionally, there is one gabled dormer on the rear wing.
