Description
No. 62 Warwick Street is a house that has been converted into a shop. It was built around 1830 and has undergone later additions and alterations, including a late 19th-century shop front on the ground floor. The building is constructed of pinkish-brown brick in English Garden Wall bond, with a painted stucco front facade and a Welsh slate roof.
It has two storeys and features one first-floor window. On the first floor, there is a 6/6 sash window set in plain reveals with a sill. The ground floor has an entrance to the left, which consists of a plank door with an overlight, situated within a glazed shop front that includes an apron and fielded pilasters at the ends. The building also has a blocking course and copings.
The interior has not been inspected. Historically, Warwick Street was laid out between 1822 and 1826. No. 62 forms a group with No. 64 Warwick Street and is located near the significant Parade, which adds to its group value.
