Description
The Coventry Arms is a house, now a public house, dating to around 1830. It forms the end of a terrace in New Milverton, Royal Leamington Spa. The building is constructed of pinkish-brown brick with painted stucco facades, and has a Welsh slate roof which is hipped on the left side. It is three storeys high with two first-floor windows. The first floor has 6/6 sash windows; the second floor has 3/6 sashes. All these windows are set in plain reveals and have sills. The ground floor features quoins surmounted by a continuous frieze and cornice. The left return has a 3-panel door with overlight, alongside casement windows. All the windows are topped with flat arches and raised keystones. A blocking course runs along the top. Rear and ridge stacks are present. The interior has not been inspected. The building occupies a corner site and forms an architectural group with numbers 159 and 161 on Rugby Road.
